RESERVOIR OF THE FUENTE DEL AZUFRE
The project of conditioning, installation, and commissioning of the station E008 ( Fuente del Azufre) T.M. de Leon
On July 23, 2019, Land, Water, and Dams was given the commission of the CONTRACT OF SERVICES FOR THE DRAFTING OF THE PROJECT OF CONDITIONING, INSTALLATION, AND COMMISSIONING OF THE STATION E008 (FUENTE DEL AZUFRE) T. M. DE LEON.
The assignment began with the attainment of in situ data estimated through a fieldwork conducted at the dam. Through this, it was possible to obtain the necessary information needed for both, the planning of an adequate methodology to conduct the study, and the estimation of all possible expenses relative to the work.
The project for the conditioning, installation, and commissioning of the Fuente del Azufre reservoir station included the drafting of the conditions that define the execution of the works described below:
- Reconditioning of existing wiring.
- Rehabilitating instrumentation by installing a new positioning sensor used to measure the reservoir level, and a new flow meter in Canal de Cornatel.
- Suppling and installing a new Remote Station
- Suppling and installing a new Energy System.
- Rehabilitating communications through the supply and installation of a new external antenna for GSM / GPRS communications, and of new Radio-modem equipment, and its corresponding antenna, to establish the radio link with the irrigation station of Toma del Canal Bajo del Bierzo.
- Rehabilitating of the Video-surveillance system by installing a new exterior camera with GSM / GPRS communication.
The drafting of the project included the establishment of the work plan, the edition of the detailed plans of the facilities, and the determination of the necessary budgets for its execution.
After successive reviews, the project was finally delivered in February 2021.
