The XII Conference on Dams
In September 2021 the the Spanish Committee of Large Dams (SPANCOLD) organised the XII Jornadas Españolas de Presas. Land Water and Dams attended the congress with its CEO, Mr. José Luis Lorenzo Riera.
After several postponements due to the COVID pandemic, we were impatient to meet the professionals in the sector once more, and to share ideas, concerns, and objectives aiming to improve the management of dams and reservoirs in our country.
The experience was extremely inspiring. Thanks to the wonderful environment of the City of Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, the magnificent event organization, the constant attention of its president, Ignacio Escuder, and the wide range of high-quality speakers, we found this experience to be extremely beneficial and rewarding to our company.

Among the numerous high-quality works presented, we would like to show our appreciation for the conference on the Gran Canaria Dams and the Salto de Chira given by Yonay Concepción, as well as for the presentation entitled Remote Sensing Applied to Reservoir Management read by David Gálan
